For twenty years, Russell, Tamara and the team at Design Artisan have been designing and documenting homes for builders, developers, and private clients, across Australia, from their office in rural Queensland. For the last 10 years, Design Artisan has been located in the heart of the Scenic Rim, on Tamborine Mountain.
Whether it’s a renovation, a knock down and rebuild, a greenfield site, a secondary dwelling for the kids, commerical use or something else entirely, our team can support you to bring your dream from idea to construction.
Nothing large is too challenging. Nothing small is too simple. Every project gets the same DA commitment, whether it comes to us through a builder or straight from you.

How It Works
1. Have a chat with us
Tell us about your site, your budget, and what the space actually needs to do for you.
2. Concept design
Your brief, turned into something you can see, react to, and fall in love with. This stage is on us.
3. Full drawings
Once you’re happy with the concept, we produce everything your builder needs to price and build it properly.
4. Build
Your builder takes the reins. DA stays on hand if anything needs sorting along the way.
We can work with you directly, or alongside your builder… through the whole process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you build the home as well?
No. DA designs and documents your project. We work alongside your builder (or, depending on your area, can recommend one of our licensee builders) to make sure what gets built matches what you signed off on.
Do I need a builder already organised?
No. Plenty of clients come to us before they’ve chosen a builder. We can talk through your options once the design direction is clear.
What does it cost?
Every project is scoped individually based on size and complexity — get in touch and we’ll give you a clear indication early.
Do you only help clients in a specific area?
We are located on Mount Tamborine, but work with clients right across Australia.
