The project
The brief
Rollo Street is a mixed-use building on a site with two street frontages at different levels. Commercial space faces the main road below, while the apartments are entered from the quieter residential street above, with parking set in between.
Above the commercial levels sit two and three bedroom apartments, crowned by a penthouse with generous terraces and a rooftop garden. Planters on every balcony carry greenery down the face of the building, softening its scale and giving something back to the street.
